John Rex and his wife spent some time in Glenamaddy , Co.Galway last year with Glenamaddy’s own Juile Healy. During their time here John Rex met with Midwest Radio presenter Michael Commins who put pen to paper to write this new recording from John Rex entitled “You Walked So Softly Through My Mind”
About John Rex Reeves
John Rex Reeves was born and raised in Panola County, TX and grew up listening to country music on the Louisiana Hayride. He was first inspired by Hank Williams and later by his uncle, the late, great, Jim Reeves. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX with a BS degree, he served in the U.S. Army as a member of the White House Staff and performed as a singer whenever the opportunity arose. John Rex worked for Nabisco and did music on the side for many years until he retired, then went full-time into music. John Rex and his wife, Neva, live in the Houston, TX area.
